VeSte is one of the parties of the Student Council of Wageningen University. The Student Council has a say in the plans of the university that concern students. VeSte was started by three big student associations of Wageningen, with the aim of enabling an active student lifestyle. For example, VeSte thinks it’s important that students who want to be in an executive function, should be supported by the university. We also work on student accommodation, quality of education and internationalization. Wageningen is a great city for students and we would like to keep it that way!
I have chosen to work at VeSte for a year because I wanted to be student without studying for one year, and because I wanted to work on enabling an active student lifestyle. VeSte is the perfect combination of informal and formal parties on the one hand, and on the other hand being involved in big projects (such as educational renewal and building of new houses). At the moment I’m mostly busy working on executive scholarships (funding for students that want to be in the board of a student association for a year) and student accommodation.
This is already my fourth year in Wageningen. Before I started being part of the board for a year, I was studying Animal Sciences. After my year at VeSte I will probably continue in the Master’s course Management of Marine Ecosystems.
